Forged in 2017 within the close-knit DIY punk and metal community of Santa Fe's underground venue The Cave, Street Tombs previously turned heads with their 2023 debut LP Reclusive Decay, which earned critical acclaim and a spot on Decibel Magazine’s Top 40 Albums of the year. Following extensive North American touring alongside death metal heavyweights like Left To Die and Necrot, the band spent the latter half of 2025 crafting their new material. While retaining their signature foundation of early Sepultura-style grit and Discharge-fueled street-punk D-beats, Existence Is Corruption marks a darker sonic evolution, actively integrating first-wave black metal and crust-punk influences reminiscent of Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, and Amebix.
