Mötley Crüe officially kick off the "The Return of Carnival of Sins" tour
Im Vorfeld der Tournee betonten Bassist Nikki Sixx in verschiedenen Radio-Interviews die kreative Herausforderung bei der Zusammenstellung der Setlist. Während die Band die Wünsche der Fans nach den großen Hits absolut respektiert und diese auch gerne spielt, sei man ebenso begeistert davon, das Set mit selten gehörten Perlen der Bandgeschichte aufzulockern. Erste Raritäten wie „Take Me To The Top“, „Red Hot“ und „Louder Than Hell“ wurden bereits Anfang Juli beim kanadischen Rockin' Thunder Festival getestet. Die Tournee markiert zudem eine triumphale Rückkehr auf die großen Bühnen, nachdem die Band ihre für Frühjahr 2025 geplante Las Vegas-Residency im Dolby Live at Park MGM aufgrund eines Schlaganfalls von Frontmann Vince Neil an Weihnachten 2024 auf den Herbst 2025 verschieben musste. Nach erfolgreicher Genesung und der absolvierten Residency blickt die Band nun voller Energie auf die aktuelle Arena-Tour.
Ahead of the tour, bassist Nikki Sixx highlighted the creative process behind shaping the setlist in several radio interviews. While emphasizing that the band loves playing their biggest hits for the fans, he expressed excitement about seasoning the set with long-dormant rarities. The band had already dusted off several classic tracks like "Take Me To The Top", "Red Hot", and "Louder Than Hell" earlier in July at the Rockin' Thunder festival in Canada. This tour marks a triumphant return to massive stages, following the rescheduling of their spring 2025 Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM to autumn 2025 due to frontman Vince Neil suffering a stroke around Christmas 2024. Following his recovery and the successful completion of the residency, the band is now channeling that renewed energy into their current arena run.
