Gefragt nach neuen Songtiteln erklärte der Gitarrist, dass einige Namen bereits durch vergangene Rechtsstreitigkeiten an die Öffentlichkeit gelangt seien. Allerdings handelt es sich dabei größtenteils um Arbeitstitel, die im finalen Prozess noch geändert werden könnten. Thayil erinnerte in diesem Zuge an die Entstehung des Tracks „Blood On The Valley Floor“ (vom 2012er-Album King Animal), den die Crew aufgrund einer humorvollen Riff-Beschreibung Thayils monatelang intern nur „Dino Jack“ genannt hatte, bevor Cornell den endgültigen Text beisteuerte. Das gesamte Albumprojekt sei für die Band eine emotionale, psychologische und intellektuelle Herausforderung, aber letztlich ein echtes „Labor of Love“ (Arbeit aus Liebe), um Cornells kreative Vision gebührend zu vollenden.

When asked about potential track titles for the upcoming Soundgarden LP, Thayil noted that while some working titles leaked in recent years due to highly publicized legal disputes, the band is actively considering renaming several tracks. He shared an anecdote illustrating their historical title process, recalling how the 2012 King Animal track "Blood On The Valley Floor" was originally dubbed "Dino Jack" by the band and crew based on a crude joke he made while describing the heavy, lumbering nature of the main riff. Reflecting on the heavy emotional, psychological, and intellectual weight of revisiting the material, Thayil emphasized that while down one crucial creative member, the project remains an absolute labor of love aimed at delivering the best possible final statement for the band's legacy.
